The Sunrise Report (sort of) from Crawford, Texas
We lost our internet(s) yesterday and service has been sporatic at best...the IT team at Camp Casey II think (know) we are being hacked. James drove 18 hours straight to get here from Florida.
Hot! Hot! Hot!
Temperatures reached well above 105 degrees F with similar, if not hotter temps expected for today.
I will attempt ti finish this report (as I have written it many times and been dropped from the Wi-Fi) in parts as I can access the service.
Everone should thank the Counter Protestors and Bush supporters...no really...they are to be commended.
In their desperate and vile behavior, bomb threats, threats of violence and hostilities have created an very interesting atmosphere indeed...
Not only have the camp leaders repented thier evil self-defeatest ways...the security teams have broken new diplomatic ground.
The Secret Service and the protest Security teams have met to coordinate keeping the protest peaceful.
The SS officers have started to warm up to our movement and have even admitted that they "hate having to guard the Bastard"...that is a direct quote.
Two buses arrived earlier carrying protestors from Austin and Dallas...several hundred more are expected from all parts of Texas.
Lokken,my Great Dane has been asked to walk a perimeter patrol when the Bush Supporters arrive for thier counter-protest. Be it known that Lokken has done her patriotic duty...dooty even...in the ditch across the street from Camp Casey where the Bush Supporters will be gathering...heh heh heh.
Let them eat poop!
The CP (counter-protestors) have leased the high school football stadium down the street from the peace house as a staging ground for their agressive showing.
Crawford, Texas...The Center of the Universe
All media outlets have converged on Crawford. Yours truly must apoligize for the false reporting of Bill Moyers being here last night...it was Bill Maurer so look for the re-airing on cable of his interview with Cindy.
Bad word spreads fast, so your humble observer and participant has tried to enact the BS filter and head straight to the source from now on...the volunteers who are on site.
Helicopters are circling and reporters are trying to report the truth...
I spoke with an annonymous source from ABC News who I met last week. He was notably humble and ashamed when he told me, "Man, we don't report the news anymore...our producers in New York are controlling what we can air...its disgusting...and those of the press corps who want to report and investigate the news have their hands tied."
"Our 'investigative ' reporter Brian Ross sure knows how to tell three sides of the story...(big grin)"
The SS and DPS officers are about 50 yards away from us and taking pictures as expected.
Camp Casey two II is quickly filling up with protestors...more buses are arriving...the atmosphere is festive as many are circulating and mingling. Smiles and happy Americans are everywhere as we roll into the final weekend of this momentous movement.
This IS history in the making folks...

The Unstoppable Kim has fallen victim to the heat...Dr. Saif, a third year medical intern who drove down from Chicago to serve as camp doctor is tending to her as are we all. She'll be up and at 'em soon.

Kim, we think, must be on the way to the airport. (boo, hoo) We want her back with us as well as Mari and Bily. Guess we'll have to look forward to the reunion in D.C. Yeah!!!!!!

Great to hear Sweet Kim made it back safely...Dot and I were concerned...I miss you terribly...all of you.
Mari, Bily, Kim, Jesse, Fish, James, Mary Ellen, Dot.
Before James goes blabbering on about it...yes it is true, the defiant one (your humble orator and instigator in chief) did traffic duty yesterday, greeting and sending off van-loads of protestors and visitors alike with laughs and smiles while coordinating the vehicular traffic of an ABC camera crew, two wedding parties and the near arrest of a Bush infultrator.
Strange flyers appeared on many of the tables yesterday evening...written upon them were what appeared to be testimonial statements such as:
"I (name here) am in league with Osama bin Laden and am a member of Al Quaida."
Yeah...right. This is what the WAY FAR right thinks we believe. Neocon operatives did manage to distribute their ridiculous propaganda, but we quickly disposed of the materials we could find.
Dot and I reluctantly packed our gear as person after person kept coming by our table with best wishes and hugs for all...even Whitney had great big hugs for both me and Dot and a message for all of us..."Y'all are so cool. Thank you for all of your help"
Many tears were cried and you all have GREAT BIG HUGS coming to you in D.C. from many admirers and those who participated in our Round Table discussions. (wink wink...nudge nudge...say no MORE!)
Lokken was so exhausted from her two weeks of activism, she fell asleep sitting up in the car on the way to Crawford from Camp Casey II!
Dot and I stopped by the Peace House to drop off the phone and grab some water for the road, and as we looked around the little tent, we saw two seats were available at the front table. We sat and had a smoke and drank a couple fo bottles of water, reminiscing about all of the wonderful and historic moments we have all shared and had been blessed to bear witness to...and then it dawned on me...
Dot and I were sitting in the exact spot we were the night we met in Crawford...the Friday night, as Dot and I sat in that very spot, Mari, Bily and Kim came literally walking into our lives and as we discussed last night, we could not feel more blessed in knowing all of you.
The mystery and beauty of why seemingly random things happen for a reason...and we are so grateful for all of the 'happy accidents' and incidents that have brought us all together forming bonds of friendship, hope and love between all of us who support this great and noble cause.
Though Casey Sheehan died for greed, the administrations lust for natural resources and strategic geographical location we who have witnessed the awakening of America can say with proud voices and conviction that for us...Casey Sheehan's life and death have profound nobility and meaning...
He and his mother have brought us all together forging a new American Family...our family of passionate, genuine, talented, generous, like-minded, vastly individual, caring people who will continue to reach out and fight for that which we all hold so dear...
The restoration of our beloved America and Her people and in reaching out to all of humanity to bring the world a just and lasting peace.
With the deepest love, admiration and respect I salute the Round Table Warriors and all who have participated in the beginning of this great movement of conscience...
Cindy is the Dreamer...it is now up to all of us to make that dream a reality for all.
