The Sunrise Report (sort of) from Crawford
We just got reconnected...BIG rain storm last night and this morning...but as everything here at Camp Casey II, the rain was a welcome inconvenience cooling us down and cleansing the world.
The inter-faith service held today was very moving with Christianity, Judaism, and Islam represented as well as a secular sermon with those of all faiths encircling the orator in a show of respect and solidarity.
The Reverend Al Sharpton gave a rousing sermon and is now meeting with Cindy.
This morning the tent was filled with the scent of 3000 roses that had been delivered to adorn the crosses in Arlington West.
Two counter protestors were screaming profanity from the road as they walked past the camp. As they reached our parked cars, they began pulling off bumper stickers. As they passed Ann Wright, one of the group leaders, one of the counter-protestors shoved Ms. Wright by pushing her shoulder.
The Crawford Sherrifs promptly arrested the two and whisked them off to jail.
Kim may be headed home...she is looking for a ride to catch her flight, but if she does not she will return Monday...and she comes with a profound message...
And the message is PEACE.
Ian from Camp Casey II
