What kind of person or sub-human could do such a thing? What is this world coming to?

This, to me, is a fork in the road of humanity. If the lamestream media doesn't vigorously and quickly denounce this sick vandalism and the ugly minds behind it, then I give up. If this action isn't denounced as unacceptable and something that will not be tolerated I've lost my faith in the America I thought existed, with some reasonable humanity. This country has changed and not for the better. I hope it's not too far gone to recover.

I remember back in 2003 a Marine Mom who had served several years and was only shy a few months of finishing her contract with the Marine Corps was told she was being shipped to Iraq. She had asked for and there were slots available in the continental US. The problem in her case was that her husband was also active-duty Marine Corps and he was already in Iraq, having served years as well. There was no one to care for her two toddlers and the Corps gave her two choices: give her kids up for adoption since they wouldn't help her with her request or leave early. This was featured on ABC and Good Morning America. The clever, charming and witty Charles Gibson (gag) was taking her to task and the program acted as if she was wrong. The saddest and most surprising thing to me was that there were people watching who thought the young lady should give up her kids for adoption so that she could go fight like she was contracted to do. They said that she shouldn't have gone into the service if a little inconvenience like losing her family and having the nerve to start a family during her time in the Corps (6 years, I think).

I don't expect a fair shake from the media, but hope we can get one.

God bless the courageous people in Camp Casey and it won't put any water in your canteen or give you any shade, but you are the kinds of people this country needs. God bless you all and you're a lot better on your worst day as people and patriots than the people who sent those people to die based on lies can dream of being on their best days.

both the posters are right. These are the times where we find out the true nature of our fellow men and women.

The right caters to angry, resentful people. Why are they so angry? They control the White House, Congress, and most of the judiciary. What more do they want?

I am an Independent and PROUD of the fact that I am not affiliated with either of the Washington Establishment political parties. Together they have given us this mess in Iraq. (Don't forget, many Democrats hopped onto the war bandwagon because they were worried about their political futures.)

Having said this, I must maintain that I am most wary of the Republicans who control all branches of government and whose arrogance of power has cost many lives. Their policies represent the greatest threat to our civil liberties and freedoms that I have seen in my lifetime. I vividly remember the transgressions of power displayed by LBJ and Nixon many years ago. Sadly, the arrogance of these men (both of whom were eventually held accountable), pales by comparison to the arrogance of power displayed by the current Republican administration.

The kool-aid drinking Bushie followers wallow in ignorance which manifests itself in disgusting behaviors such as mowing down crosses representing the fallen. These followers know NOTHING about patriotism because they root on (like cheerleaders) people who are systematically stripping this country of those very qualities that have made America great.

I applaud Cindy S. for her courage! She is looking for accountability and asking the right questions.
